Most sellers are glad to get an offer, but a low-ball offer could hurt your cause. In other words, many sellers will not respond to a low-ball offer. Sometimes they will think that a buyer is a reasonable person, someone they will want to work with, if they are not insulted on the offer. You do want the best possible settlement don’t you?
